(Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, Mrs. [5557] - Now, as we find, there
are those indications with this body of the inflammation of the nerve plexus
and centers that are INTERNAL in their action. These produce those forms
of nerve reactions that become aggravating in different natures at different
times. These are produced from toxic forces in the system, for there have
been leakages in the intestinal tract from thinned walls. Not that
as would be called wholly perforations, but so that the absorption - or
the lymph and emunctory circulation, carry much of that as should be eliminated
through other channels.
Hence the abrasions, the sore
portions in the system. These, as we find, have arisen from disorders as
existed in times back, when there were the application of external sources
or forces in the effect of an anaesthesia, or anaesthetic for the body,
that, affected the system especially in the sympathetic system - and caused
first this accumulation in the form, as an effect would be, of gases in
the system passing through the respiratory system - as it did - has produced,
or did produce, first this disorder that has been sapping the vitality
at times. At others we find apparently plenty of the bodily conditions,
yet taking FROM same the stamina or vitality. Hence those reactions as
had on portions of the system, especially through the REGENERATIVE system.
In these activities, those have brought irritations also in pelvic organs,
and necessarily the reaction in the nervous system from disturbances here
to the head, eyes, and the sensory system. As for those of the SYMPATHETICS
being disturbed, makes for those conditions in ear, those conditions in
the feel or the touch, the lack at times of the responses in the taste
or smell, or disorder in vision. These are REFLEXES; they are not produced
by those of specific conditions in the system, or organic disorders, but
FUNCTIONAL, by a gradual or a general drain that has been indicated from
those that existed first that produced same in the nervous system, in the
emunctory and lymph, and later in those of the digestive system. Then these
reactions as we have had to other portions of the system becoming as reflex
from same.
2. In meeting the needs, as we would find, in
the first we would require that there be a general relaxation of the whole
of the cerebro-spinal system (osteopathically given, would we go over this).
These for at least twelve to sixteen treatments, and these - as we find
- should be given every other day, or at least three times each week -
see? We would have a GENERAL treatment, with SPECIFIC attention to the
eliminating system as in reference to poisons from the alimentary canal
from the organs of the system, so that the eliminating systems become coordinating
and cooperative in their activities in the system.
3. When these have been begun, and at least three
to five such manipulations have been given, we would add those vibrations
from the plain Radio-Active Appliance, that will make for an easier circulation,
more uniform HEATING forces - as it were - in the system, and bring about
a better state of the ability to rest, and to feel rested from sleep or
FROM resting. This we would use each evening when the body RESTS, preferable
to night; though it may be used when the body is ready to retire. We would
attach the anodes, or plates, one to the ankle, the other to the opposite
wrist - see? And circle the body. One day on one, the next day on the other.
These should be taken, if taken in the day, for at least twenty to sixty
minutes. If taken in evening may be made a little longer period. These
would be prepared in the regular way and manner.
4. In the matter of the diet, be mindful that
these are both blood and nerve building, keeping an even balance in the
alkalin and acid producing forces for the system. PARTICULARLY, should
there be much of - at one period, at least, of the day - the OILS of NUTS.
These are good for
this body, RATHER than meats; and at another
period of the day let's have a great deal of the leafy and green vegetables,
such as carrots, celery, lettuce, and preferably that that does not head
- for this body; more soporiferous than that of the iceberg.
5. In the matter of meats, beware of those that
are much of the fats of same, and never have any that is cooked in its
own fat, nor seasoned with the products of its own kind.
6. As we find, these applied in this way and manner
- at least two periods of treatments - when these have been taken for twelve
to eighteen, or to fifteen, we would then give the information for when
the next period should be resumed - see?
7. Ready for questions.
8. We are through for the present.

(Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5553]. Now,
we find - while conditions are very good in the physical forces of the
body, there are disorders that should be corrected before there are the
attempts of the system to adjust itself to these disorders, and to cause
conditions to become of a
chronic or constitutional disorder. These conditions,
while they may appear to be minor in nature, will - in their activity -
gradually build that as to either eliminate or build about in such a manner
as to make for greater disorders later on.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them
with this body, [5553] we are speaking of, present in this room:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find a tendency
for the pressure to be abnormal. This not an organic heart disorder, though
pressure caused there. This rather from those conditions in the circulation
as related to those of the lachrymal ducts, and of the lacteals; this making
for those conditions where, in some portions, too much of the lymph is
created in the upper circulation, too little in the lower circulation.
Hence the distresses as in the walls of the abdomen itself,
where thin conditions cause those tendencies
that make for a distress that will CAUSE disorder, unless these are changed
in their nature. As to the blood as is in the system, this abundant in
quantity; in quality, a variation exists, from this very condition as in
the lacteals.
4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, this very good in most
respects. There are, in those centers in the lower lumbar region, where
these make for that of the IMPROPER relationships in the lower hepatic
circulation. This calls for those of the filling up, then, of that area,
as produces that pressure that will, eventually, make for disorders in
the kidneys, unless relieved. This, added TO the blood pressure, will be
called other conditions, unless there are changes made.
5. IN THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, we find brain
forces are good. Discrimination and discernment, good.
6. In the organs of the sensory system, as seen
from the indications to the lymph in the system, the throat, the nasal
cavities, and all, suffer under stress of too ABUNDANT lymph circulation.
This makes for that of the hepatics' distress, THROUGH the lachrymal and
lacteals, those conditions as has been seen.
7. In the bronchi and lungs, good.
8. Heart's action as indicated, though organically
very good.
9. Digestive system, as related to that of the
hepatic circulation, shows for those of the disorder as related to the
glands in the circulatory system as make for assimilation. This disturbs
also the liver.
10. In that of the lower digestion through this
area, we find those distresses as indicated in the peritoneum wall. In
that of those in the liver portion, makes for that of the disorders as
causes, from those of the conditions in the intestinal tract itself.
11. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions,
as we will find for this system, we would first prepare as this medicinal
properties as would be taken into the system BEFORE the corrections are
made, for at least six to ten days, that changes may be brought in the
vibratory forces and in the ability of the system to eliminate and assimilate
nearer normal. First we would prepare as this:
12. Plain garden sage (dried preferable) 1 ounce
to 6 ounces of distilled water. Reduce by slow simmering to 1/2 the quantity.
Then take, after this is strained, and set aside. Then take ambrosia weed
1 ounce to 6 ounces of distilled water. Reduce by simmering to 1/2 the
quantity. Then pour
the two together, and add:
Gin (preferably Gordin Gin)..............4 ounces,
Simple Syrup.........................1 1/2 ounce
(This syrup, however, should be made of that of BEET,
rather than cane sugar),
Dissolve 10 grains of ambergris in 1 ounce of
grain alcohol and add to solution. Then add,
Oil of Sassafras.........................3 minims,
Cinnamon (in the stick)..................1 dram.
The dose of this would be (and
it should be shaken before the dosage is taken) one teaspoonful four times
each day, before meals and before retiring.
13. We would then, when this has been taken,
make those corrections in the cerebro-spinal system and in the abdominal
regions, as is necessary for the alleviating of the pressure
in the 4th and 2nd lumbar. Do that.
14. We will find, too, that the use of the eye
appliance from the violet ray will aid the vision, relieve the headache,
and the strain on the nerve system - especially in the head. Ready for
questions.
15. (Q) How often should the corrections be made?
(A) Be made until the alignment in the spine
is relieved.
16. (Q) What is the cause of the skin trouble
on the hands, and what will relieve same?
(A) The relief of the hepatic circulation, as
is indicated, through those of the assimilation, so that there is coordination
IN elimination, this will relieve the condition. It is the lymph circulation
disturbed, see?
17. (Q) How long should the violet ray be applied
to the eyes at a time?
(A) Two to three minutes, using double applicator.
This will relieve strain and the distress in the system.
18. (Q) Should this be every day?
(A) Use to correct the condition as has been
outlined.
19. (Q) Is the condition in the hands the same
as on other parts of the body?
(A) Produced from the same character of poisons
in the system, as is indicated from the blood supply and disturbance in
the lymphatic circulation. THIS is as conditions exist in a NORMAL body:
When eliminations are carried on, the greater portion of poisons are carried
through the alimentary canal. Also the kidneys eliminate certain poisons
from the system, as the circulation passes through same. The respiratory
system also, through THEIR functioning, throws off a portion of the poison.
Again we have eliminations through those of the gases of thrown off in
the lungs. In a disturbance as indicated here, through those of the lacteals
and lachrymal ducts - the ducts and glands - the lachrymal those as of
that PRODUCING the water in system in the exterior portion, called sweat,
or tears, or perspiration, or respiration. Those of the lacteals care for
the portions where fat or starch are cared for in the system. These disturbances
originate from those conditions as exist in the lower LUMBAR region - 4th
and 2nd lumbar. By these pressures, and by the activities of the system,
the system has gradually turned to ELIMINATING poisons through the RESPIRATORY
system, or through the perspiratory system, as SHOULD be eliminated through
kidneys and alimentary canal. Just to give an emit, or any active forces
that disturb the juices of the intestinal system, or as a cathartic, is
only to produce irritation without relieving the cause. NOW - that as is
given is to act as a cleanser for the system, exercising the functioning
of the spleen, the pancreas, the liver, the duodenum. The functioning of
those of the gin, with that of the kidneys, as to make coordination in
the hepatic circulation; while those of the manipulation and corrections
will COORDINATE the eliminating systems. Do that. We are through.

1. GC: You will have before you the body of [5016],
who is at ... You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly,
and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause
of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this
body; answering
the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5016].
3. As we find there are disturbances preventing
the better physical functioning of the body. With this body these conditions
are rather of a complex nature, as there is incoordination in the eliminating
systems.
4. While there is the thinning of the walls of
the small intestines and there are poisons absorbed through the system
that find expression in the attempt to eliminate through superficial circulation,
we find that there are pressures also existing in the areas of the 6th,
7th dorsal that upset the coordination of circulation through the kidneys
and the liver. These contribute to the condition causing the abrasions
which occur as red splotches or spots at times, and at other times there
is the forming of blackheads apparently, or black points on the abrasions,
you see, or in the abrasion areas.
5. These are the sources of the disturbance with
this particular body.
6. Then, in making applications for corrections
here we would first through osteopathic adjustments correct those subluxations
upon the right side at the 6th and 7th dorsal and then coordinate the 3rd
cervical, the 9th dorsal and through the lumbar, with such corrections.
There should only be required about twelve adjustments, if properly made,
coordinating the muscular forces in areas where the sympathetic and cerebrospinal
systems coordinate in the greater measure.
7. We would have these twice each week for the
first six of the treatments. The others may be spread out longer.
8. After the first six osteopathic adjustments
have been made (not before), begin taking internally a compound prepared
in this manner:
Sulphur.................1 tablespoonful,
Rochelle Salts..........1 tablespoonful,
Cream of Tartar.........1 tablespoonful.
9. Mix these very thoroughly, as with mortar and
pestle. Take a teaspoonful every morning, either in water or dry on tongue,
until the whole quantity has been taken.
10. Then begin with Yellow Saffron Tea, a pinch
of the American Saffron in a cup of boiling water - or put in a cup and
fill with boiling water, allow to stand for thirty minutes, strain and
drink, each evening when ready to retire.
11. Occasionally, about two to three times a week,
drink elm water - a pinch of ground elm (between thumb and forefinger)
in a cup, filled with warm water (not boiling water). Stir thoroughly and
let set for thirty minutes. Drink this preferably of morning rather than
at the
period when the Saffron is taken.
12. Eliminate fats, sweets and pastries from the
diet. Do have a great deal of fruits and vegetables.
13. Do these and we will find that there may be
brought better conditions for this body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) Is psoriasis always from the same cause?
(A) No, but it is more often from the lack of
proper coordination in the eliminating systems. At times the pressures
may be in those areas disturbing the equilibrium between the heart and
liver, or between heart and lungs. But it is always caused by a condition
of lack of lymph circulation through alimentary canal and by absorption
of such activities through the body.
16. We are through with this reading.

1. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal physical
conditions with this body. These, as we find, are rather hidden, though
much of the condition produced in the system is apparent in functioning
organs, especially in the kidneys and in the throat.
2. In the eliminations then do we find the greater
distress in the body. Now these conditions have their effect, yet the resistance
in the system at the present time is very good.
3. These are conditions as we find them in this
body. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there is the show
of the drosses and poisons being taken in the system, which should be eliminated,
else we will find in after years rheumatic conditions, as called at present.
In the blood supply, this we find entering mostly from the condition existing
in the region of the Peyer's glands. There are also in the system poisons
as shown in the blood supply from the condition in throat and tonsils.
These, however, are secondary, though need local treatments. In the pressure
in blood supply very good. In the effects as are shown by assimilation
the blood is strong in its ability to affect the system, yet with this
constant strain the condition gives drainage to the functioning of the
eliminating portions, or emunctories especially. Hence the drain on kidneys,
the trouble with the bladder at times in this high state of the excretory
system eliminating poisons taken in the blood supply. The condition as
produced in intestinal tract in the lower portion comes from these same
conditions in a high hepatic circulation. As to white, outnumber the normal.
As to red, nearly normal.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find very good.
One that would be called by some as one of iron nerve, yet the strain,
the constant nagging, gives more to the temperamental and affects the sympathetic
more than it does the central plexuses of the nerve system at present.
In the sympathetics these show how the effect of the draining in intestinal
tract affects the throat and causes these to become storehouses for poisons
as absorbed in system.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain
force very good. One that would do well, however, to change the present
occupation, for its better for higher things. Keep that which it has in
mind. Work to that end.
7. In the physical and sensory organism very good
at present. Would be well to ward the system against the nerve system
becoming taxed by these poisons in system, for we would find the sensory
system would become susceptible and the organs of same would become abnormal
in their functioning. First would be for the eyes, then the ear.
8. In the lungs very good.
9. In the throat proper the tonsils show how that
poisons form in the functioning of the blood through these without the
elimination, the seat, however, having been in the right side, and this
is a secondary condition, though needs local treatments.
10. In the digestive tract this is very good at
the present time. There are times when the strain on kidneys and bladder
affect the appetite more than digestion, though digestion suffers in the
end from such a refraction. In the intestinal tract, in the Peyer's gland
region, we find there have been strains on the system in some times back
when there was taken in the system those properties which produced the
overcharging of the lymph forming and lymph producing functions to the
digestion, especially in the intestines, and the walls were thinned by
strain, by congestion, and then with this congestion which we had in the
system that produced the congestion to the
kidneys. This then is the seat of the trouble - intestinal tract. This
would be reached through that connection in the solar plexus center that
supplies this nutriment, and by taking in the system those properties that
will give the incentive to the hypogastric center to draw on
the system for those healing properties that the system itself supplies
to correct the condition. In the center (hypogastric) where we have the
hypogastric plexus that connects with the blood flow in hepatics and blood
flow in the kidneys direct, this brings with this strain the overacting
to the bladder and produces some inflammation in the neck direct. This
may form into granular, and may produce some irritation. Correct at its
present stage, or else we may have the results, though the system is strong
at the present and is given to meet resistance.
11. In the liver, very good for conditions, but
with the taxed hepatic, with the kidneys not functioning normal, the excess
of excretory comes to liver, so we find the organ itself larger than normal.
In the hepatic circulation from this, and in the region of the ascending
colon, we find at times there is some soreness - reflex.
12. In the kidneys themselves the hypogastric
center is more the effect and the cause than organic conditions. Then to
correct this, we would locally remove the strain on system as produced
in the tonsils, either by the deep manipulation, as osteopathically given,
direct or by the use of the knife. We would then correct in the system
in this manner.
13. Take these: This would be the dose as would
be taken in the system.
Podophyllum....................1/2 grain,
Leptandrin.......................1 grain,
Yellow Saffron...............1 1/2 grain,
Licorice compound................1 grain.
14. That would be in one dose. These would make
large capsules, from the Saffron as would be used. Take these, one every
other day until at least ten are taken. Then take this:
Tincture of Valerian.............2 ounces,
Iodide of Potassium..............5 grains,
Bromide of Potassium............10 grains,
Elixir Calisaya..................4 ounces,
Elixir Celerena..................2 ounces,
Capsici..........................2 minims.
Sufficient simple syrup to make 11 ounces.
15. The dose would be (and shake the properties
well together before each dose is taken), teaspoonful twice each day, before
breakfast, before retiring; that is, JUST before. Do
this, and we will bring the body to the normal
condition.
16. After this correction is made in the tonsils
and throat, and these properties are taken, it should be corrected in two
to three weeks to a normal condition for the body. DO NOT take the properties
in the system until just before, if operation is taken, and while treatment
is being given, if reduced by osteopathic forces. These should be treated
internally, and would be painful to the body but may be removed without
operation, or may be removed with operation. The body is in good condition.

Unknown.
1. EC: Yes, we have had this body before.
2. There is not so much change or difference in
it from when we had it before, save that there are some conditions that
have been exaggerated, from the physical energies in the body attempting
to reach their equilibrium. Especially is this so in the hepatics and the
intestinal tracts and centers of nerve energy that operate in these portions
of the body. Also from that to the action of the diaphragm, which
produces irritations through the nerve and muscular forces, causing the
trouble we have in the throat, larynx (?) and lungs and which is from the
intestinal trouble, or the system absorbing poison from the intestinal
tract, and the nerve energy causing depletion in the walls of this tract,
especially in the region of the hepatics.
3. The body needs rest and fresh air more than
medicinal properties in the system, a relaxation from nervous tension,
and only properties that will produce more mucous or coatings to strengthen
the walls through this portion of the body. Take this in the system: Yellow
saffron, or saffron in the form of tea if preferable; two glasses, if in
the form of tea, three-fourths full daily, that is morning and evening.
Let the water that is used carry junket or elm to form healing through
the duodenum and the rest of the system and intestines, with relaxation
and rest to the body if we would relieve this body. Counter irritant to
this system is very bad. Small, very small, doses of Dovers powders would
be good for this system, in order to make the proper sedatives to
let the body rest, and to form with the coating produced by the other things
in the system easier action on the mucous membrane.
4. No stimulants of any kind should be used in
the system, for the excite the opposite pole, or kidneys to cause temperature
in the body. The diet should be that which is easy to be absorbed in the
system. Preferably as much of green vegetables as possible, so long as
it is not of the tubular
character; that is the edibles that grow above
the ground, and not below. Do that for [4830].
5. (Q) What is junket, Mr. Cayce?
(A) Junket or elm we have here for this body;
one is the form that gives life to the system from plant matter, that is
elm. Junket, which is of the same character, is taken from animal matter;
our preference would be the elm, but perhaps the other would be easier
to obtain. Cool the water to make it palatable.
6. (Q) Are there any other details, Mr. Cayce?
(A) Do as we have given here and we will find
relief for this body in the physical, of [4830].
7. We are through.

(Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes. Now, we have those conditions that
disturb this body, [4510].
2. As we find, these are latent; yet at varied
periods and under certain distresses are very aggravating to the body.
They may be called constitutional, for they have been of long-standing
and the system continues to attempt to adjust itself to the inconveniences
of the humor in the blood supply, that forms as a rash over portions of
the body.
3. This, as we find, is a case of improper eliminations,
produced by conditions that have caused the thinning of the walls of the
eliminating system (or colon, intestine) that allows a formation to gain
access in or through the lymph and emunctory circulation, that is not carried
through its normal or natural channels; thus finding expression in the
form of the irritating rash.
4. In many respects the general functioning system
is very good. Were this not the case more of the organs and their functionings
would be disturbed. The very nature of the condition (from thinned walls
or small perforations that occur at times) prevents the disturbance in
ORGAN functioning, but PRODUCES the disturbance in the lymph and emunctory,
and makes for such a disorder that exists.
5. Meeting the conditions, as we find, will require
time, and will of necessity require persistence and consistent effort on
the part of the body, yet the disturbance may be eliminated or eradicated
entirely from the system. Not by the activity of medicinal properties of
a nature that would cause irritation in other portions of the system, neither
by diets that would reduce the vitality in some other portions of the system.
As the body finds, diet often does play a great part in the disturbances,
yet this must be of the nature that the vitality and the resistance is
builded. Hence the requirements would be those properties that will
add, or be taken up, or be absorbed by the system in such a way and manner
as to add vitality, stamina, resistance, so as to turn the eliminations
into their regular or normal channels without disturbing the functioning
of organs as a vital force in the recuperation produced in the system.
6. Then, we will find that these properties taken
and kept up for several months will not only correct the condition but
will eliminate the causes of same from the system. Prepare these in this
way and manner, and take consistently and persistently for periods of two
to three weeks; then stop for five to eight days, then begin again for
a period of two to three to four weeks, and so on.
7. Two or three times each day take small quantities
of olive oil.
8. Also take three to five times each day half
an ounce of a mild Saffron tea, made in this proportion:
9. Put one dram of the yellow Saffron, or the
English or the American Saffron, in sixteen ounces of water. Allow it to
steep as tea for ten to twenty minutes. This may be strained off and kept
in a cool place. Take in the quantity as given.
10. The activities of these upon the system:
11. The Saffron will assimilate and coordinate
with the gastric juices of the DIGESTIVE system, in such a way and manner
as to eliminate that character of poisons that saps the vitality of the
muco-membranes OF the digestive and intestinal system.
12. The oil adds to the elasticity of the functioning
of the intestinal tract, acting also as a food value to the system itself.
13. Be mindful that in the diet that there are
not those foods carrying excessive properties that are the production of
alcohol, or that are of alcoholic nature that makes for a strain on the
activity of the digestive system as related especially to the liver; that
there is not the excessive use of foods that are of the acid nature. This
would be as an outline:
14. Mornings - citrus fruit juices, with coddled
egg or coddled egg and rice cakes or brown bread.
15. Noons - vegetable juices, and the like.
16. Evenings - a well balanced vegetable diet,
with beef, mutton or wild game.
17. Of course, this may be altered to meet the
tastes, but not acid producing foods. Keep away from those.
18. Do not mix cereals with citrus fruits.
19. Do not mix nuts with the diet at any time,
unless it is the almond.
20. Do not use the excessive amount of sugar in
any form.

(Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4461]. Now,
we find there are some specific conditions that cause disorders in the
system, and there are some effects produced that have been at times called
or termed the causes. As WE find, some of the more serious indications
are results and NOT causes, and were those corrections made for conditions
as PRODUCE disorders many another condition would disappear. These, as
we find, have to do (the causes) with the eliminating system, and conditions
produced there in their return causing other disorders that are of a greater
or lesser disturbance in the system.
2. These, then, are conditions as WE find them
with this body, [4461] we are speaking of:
3. First, the BLOOD SUPPLY indicates that disturbance
in the liver itself, in the inability to function either as the excretory
forces demand or as the secretive forces demand. These conditions,
however, have been produced as much by the adherence of conditions in the
intestinal tract as of the organ's disturbance itself. So, one produces
the other - but THESE conditions must be considered together when applications
would be made that would be of a PERMANENT relief to the body. The blood
supply shows a heaviness, lack of the proper distribution or that thrown
into the system to make for the proper eliminations, drosses being carried
back into the system cause or produce the disturbances, or that hardened
condition, or tendency towards same, or spotted conditions as exist in
liver, and THIS in turn gives that effect
to the circulation as produces those distresses in the heart's activity
itself, though no ORGANIC condition exists there. Also in the region of
the duodenum there is shown a tendency for FULLNESS, and the area as should
be covered by the digestive forces in system are not PROPERLY distributed,
or are SMOOTH rather than of their proper relationship. In the caecum region,
not as of appendicitis or of that as causes for that disorder in this region
as ordinary. There are those adhesions that are produced by the lack of
proper peristaltic MOVEMENTS through the system, this causing a thinning
of the walls and the attempts to produce the proper eliminations through
the intestines, aiding the blood - with those
foods taken, and with the properties taken - to make or cause adhesions.
This has raised the pressure in the blood supply. This has caused those
temperatures to rise at times. This makes for those pains as felt in the
lower part of the stomach or the duodenum, and in the bowels themselves
- see? This also produces that condition, or that heaviness in the blood
supply in which there are at times great variations as to the numbers in
white cell and in red blood cell. This causes the nausea, the pains in
shoulders and arms, and - as has been termed at times - an acute condition,
or that of angina pectorins. This, as we find, is a RESULT - not a cause,
though the RESULTS may be VERY detrimental to the body unless corrections
are made.
4. In the NERVE SYSTEM, we find these have been
allayed or assuaged often by the use of properties as to produce a sedative
effect to the nervous system. This has made a tendency for some of the
larger ganglia in the system to become in a form or manner, as it were,
deadened to the conditions; so we have in the extremities at times as of
a pulsation in the body itself - that is, the structural portion - feet,
hands, tend to feel full, stiff, as does the shoulder, the lower portion
of the back, through the shoulders and under the shoulder blades, around
the neck, this fullness in the face at times, with the blood flow to the
head; that tendency towards shortness of breath is a result of the NERVOUS
reactions in the system. This wholly sympathetic condition, or produced
by that of hindered FUNCTIONING of organs.
5. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves,
these are much as has been described as how these are disturbed. There
are those disorders, to be sure, from the lower hepatic circulation as
related to the kidneys in their eliminations; for with the disturbance
in the liver area, with the
disturbance for the excretory and secretive functioning
of the liver itself, we find these show an excess of those drosses, and
clayey or reddish sediment forms in urine - a heaviness in the kidneys;
these are results, NOT causes - though causes may arise from such disturbances.
6. Now, in meeting the needs of the conditions
as we find them for this body, [4461] we are speaking of, these - we find
- will be hard to be dealt with unless there may be gained something of
a sympathetic feeling for those applications as have been outlined for
the body. Would be well, then, that first those who are in sympathy with
those sources of this information make overtures in a PROPER way and manner;
NOT as of something out of the ordinary, NOT as someone attempting to rule
or direct, but rather as one feeling the interest in, the seriousness of
the situation and conditions, offering a channel for proper corrections.
These also will be of some trouble to handle
out of an institution, yet these MAY be properly done - as we find - even
in the home, will the time, the patience, the precautions necessary be
taken for same to be handled, see? THIS, as WE find, would bring a nearer
NORMAL reaction through the system, requiring time, requiring persistence,
and requiring the PATIENCE.
7. First we would begin with RESTING of the body
for at least ten days, see? Go to bed! Apply over the liver AREA those
hot castor oil packs. Keep them up for at least two to three hours each
day, see? During that period also we would take all the OLIVE oil the body
WILL assimilate, in SMALL doses - half a teaspoonful every two hours whenever
the body is awake. We would, every SECOND day - that is, a day lying between
the two - apply those packs of Epsom salts saturated solution across the
CAECUM, see? that's the lower intestine here, you see, or the large intestine
- especially in the right side, across the bladder and across the kidney
area - for twenty to thirty minutes each day, just once a day - you see
- during that period, and every other day, until there is the full reaction
from the liver and a drainage from the whole intestinal tract. There will
be found that during that period there will be some nausea, some pains
as of gas, some as of passages of blood - and some may appear even in the
stool, but those of the whole intestinal system would be CLEANSED by this.
During that period there should be given only such as THIS as the food
values:
8. Fruit juices of mornings. Rolled oats or of
whole-grained cereals during the noontime. Of evenings there may be given
broths, with brown bread, and a little stimuli as of coffee, tea or milk.
Not a great deal of foods to be given, but practically all of these are
BLOOD building nature - yet a TENDENCY for proper elimination.
9. After there has been a full cleansing, we would
then CHANGE as to the treatments. We would give every other day an eighth
grain of the animated ash, and apply over the liver area - and over the
central portion of the body - the ultra-violet ray, thirty to forty minutes
after each dosage of the ash is taken, see? Then begin with a little heavier
diet. It may be necessary during the first ten days that high enemas be
given to assist in REMOVING the feces from the system, that is PRODUCING
the great troubles - see? ALSO, when the ash and the ultra-violet are given,
begin with those of the osteopathic manipulation and adjustments through
the whole system, and we will find we will bring a better and a nearer
normal condition for the body.
10. Drink all the water as is desired during this
period of taking the packs or the oil internally. Ready for questions.
We will find that this will reduce those pressures, and there will be no
return of those contractions. There will be nausea, and there will be pains
through the whole intestinal system, but THIS - as we find - will be much
better than operative measures; for the blood supply, the whole condition
is in no way in a position for operative or strong internal medicinal
measures. We are through for the present.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, the abnormal
conditions as we find in this body affects the inner system throughout
so that most of the functioning of the organs of the trunk portions of
the body are affected. The circulation, especially, shows the disturbance
and of what character the infection in the system of the disease produced
as we find in certain portions of the intestinal tract. The condition as
we find in the body: first, the blood is impoverished and carrying so much
of the toxins, which is being carried through the circulation is absorbed
in the system through the impoverished condition in the intestinal tract,
through the small intestines where the walls are at times so thin that
the lymphatic circulation produces coagulation from used tissue. These
toxins that are absorbed produced this condition much by taking into needed
same a normal condition which is attached to by blood in the body and gives
sufficient liquidated character and quality without, producing the tiredness
to the whole body. The character of the breathing without the pulsation
is normal. There is no organic disease of heart or lungs. The feet
are affected by the poisons produced through the
intestinal tract and the bowels. The languid, the morose condition and
headaches and the action of these organs are affected from certain portions
of the body. With the nervous system we find the mental faculties, the
dreary languid feeling at times produces high tension of the nerve force
in the system and the body is very depressed or morosed and the resistance
of the body produced in the system by the actions of the nerve centers
interlocked with the muscular forces being completed by the action of the
nervous system or the inferior quality of blood supply in the system. The
rebuilding and the replenish of this will bring upon the body improved
condition of the system. The sensory becomes at times super-sensitive,
that is, the action of these nerves to produce equilibrium at times makes
or forms the functioning of the nerves of the sensory system of the abnormal
activity to the ear or to the eye or to the nasal channel or to the lung.
The pulmonary condition of the blood in the system shows the action of
these through the capillaries and through the lung tissues. This expected
condition within is shown in the intestinal tract through the intestinal
organs first by indigestion or dyspepsia that taking of things or chemicals
in the system to allay this condition produced too much in the system of
the fluids from mucous as the lining of the body and crated by the action
of intestinal thread worms in the large intestines affects them so as to
reduce them and acts as stringent to the action of the intestinal digestion
after being acted on by the fluids. It is after we have here the action
of the gastric juices in the stomach, which is dependent on the atmospheric
condition and the diet taken into the system and at times it is easy for
the juices to act as an astringent in the intestinal tract. These are conditions
as we find them in the body of Mrs. [4433]. To relieve or bring about
the normal condition of this system we would treat or give through this
system that which will overcome these conditions.
2. A tea made from what is called or known as
ragweeds. To six ounces of ragweeds, fresh, tops, thoroughly cleansed,
add one quart of water. Let come to a simmer until reduced to one pint.
To this is to be added one-half ounce grain alcohol, four ounces cane sugar
first dissolved in warm water. Take tablespoonful three times a day. This
is to cleanse the present condition of this body. After this has been taken
five days take as a dose, senna, two grains, licorice, one grain, strychnine
one-one hundred twentieth grain. This will be taken in capsule or powder
form, preferable in capsule, once a day. This as a stimulation to the blood
force and to circulation. Take into the system for diet those foods that
do not carry much flesh. Eat wild games. Take no pepper-salt, etc. in any
form. Eat more of the vegetables that carry more proteins. Do this and
you will find relief in the body until the conditions are removed in the
system.
3. (Q) What is the scientific name for this case?
(A) Indigestion or dyspepsia in an acute form
producing intestinal worms within the body from absumption or absorption
in the body.
4. (Q) What are these worms called?
(A) Thread intestinal worms that come and go
in the variations as are given and which carry with them much of the mucous
that should be left within the walls of the body.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time.
You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing
conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find in many respects the body
is very good throughout; yet the abnormal conditions, the condition that
produces the distresses in system are specific, yet the effect as is caused
by affects of the system are rather distraught or distributed in such manner
as that the result rather than the cause is exhibited. These, as we see,
have to do with many different portions of the system.
3. Now these are conditions as we find them in
this body, [4387], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below the
normal in its rebuilding or recuperative forces, for there is bacilli carried
in the blood stream and the change in the effect produced by this bacilli
affecting different portions of the functioning organism produces the change,
or the hidden condition as is produced in the functioning system. For we
have as this: There are times when the body suffers from dull, slow, headaches,
seemingly produced from stomach. No. There are times when the body suffers
with a distraughtness in the right side, seemingly from condition in intestinal
tract or from constipation. No. There are times when we find the breath,
as it were, short or depressions in the lung supply proper and from structural
conditions in body, apparently would come from this source. No. There are
times when we have the depressions in the kidneys and urinary organs. This
apparently would be from these organs themselves. No. All, we see, produced
by a condition in the system, as we shall see "In Functioning Organs."
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find the sympathetic
overtaxed on account of the dulled condition produced in the centers of
the cerebro-spinal system, and this dulled condition being the source of
the change in the conditions in body. Not that these conditions are accentuated
to the extent that it prevents the body from functioning, and from moving,
and from doing its daily labors, or of below the normal condition, yet
all of these influences, all of these manifestations, are at various times
felt in the body.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, brain forces
very good.
7. Throat, lung and larynx, at times show the
effect of this impaired circulation, this impaired nerve condition. Lungs
very good, though pressure in lower portion shows how that the relaxed
or dulled condition of the secondary cardiac forces allow the blood to
fill or be drawn from the organ, in heated condition, in cold condition,
or in over-taxed mental conditions.
8. Digestive system, as it were, of spasmodic
conditions, and through this has been given much to correct conditions;
while the seat of the trouble is not there, we find it directly connected
with same, for the seat or cause of conditions exists in the upper intestinal
digestive system, where we have thinned walls that cause toxins to be absorbed
in system; hence producing through the glands of the body the conditions
as exhibited in this body, and these, as we see, produced from times back
when the body had a spell of slow fever. In this condition we find the
tendency then to expectancy of these portions of the body to receive these
conditions. Hence the system has not become equalized in circulation, nerve
circulation, lymphatic supply, sufficient to overcome or balance the body
since this spell. Three - four - four and a half to six years ago.
9. In the liver, subnormal and smaller than normal.
In the hepatic circulation high, kidneys at times overtaxed, as would be
expected through these conditions.
10. Then, to bring the normal forces to this body,
it would be necessary to take in the system those properties which will
give the expectancy of the equalized circulation, equalized nerve distribution,
equalized forces, and give the body in its functioning, especially in the
region of the Peyer's Gland that necessary to so thicken the walls as to
prevent this leakage, or this toxin from disturbing the body.
11. Then, we would take this: To four ounces of
Peptotone, or Simple Syrup add:
Fluid Extract Yellow Dock Root....1/2 ounce,
Fluid Extract Stillingia..........1/2 ounce,
Fluid Extract Poke Root...........1/4 ounce,
Fluid Extract Red Clover..........1/2 ounce,
Oil of Sassafras....................5 minims,
Essence of Tolu....................20 minims.
12. Shake the solution well together before each
dose is taken. The dose would be half a teaspoonful in water, or
direct, twice each day, mornings on arising, evenings before retiring.
13. Let the diet be more of fruit and vegetable
matter than of meats. Do not keep much meats for the system until the body
has gained its equilibrium.
14. Do that, and we will bring the body, by the
time the second quantity is half taken, near to the normal forces.
15. We are through.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time;
giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help
and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Bull Run Road - it's a very pretty place!
[See 4079-1, Par. R3.]
3. We have the body here, [4079]. We find that
disturbances have been of long standing. At times they grow much worse
and then they clear for a while, but let it begin to be warm weather or
the body become upset or physically tired, aggravated or disturbed, and
the rash on the body as well as the eczema that forms into patches on portions
of the body becomes very much worse.
4. This began some time back from the thickening
[thinning?] of the walls of the intestinal system, which arose from coordinations
between the eliminating centers of the body; so that poisons which should
be eliminated through the alimentary canal have become active in the perspiratory
and respiratory system.
5. Poisons coming through the respiratory system
enter the circulation again and thus come to the sympathetic or superficial
circulation, thus are thrown out in the form of a rash.
6. In making corrections here, we would begin
first by taking a tonic, the compound such as already prepared by Wirsing,
[See 4079-1, Par. R1 re 3137-1.] including the Yellow Dock Root, Burdock
Root, Buchu Leaves, the Podophyllin or the root from which this is made,
also the alcohol in which the Balsam of Tolu is cut, and all of the active
principles that go with this. The dose of this would be two teaspoonsful
a day. This will apparently cause the rash at first to be much more
severe. But use the Stearate of Zinc powder with Balsam in it. This is
prepared by Johnson & Johnson as a baby powder.
7. After this compound has been taken for five
days (not before) begin taking each evening before retiring the Yellow
Saffron tea one day, the Powdered Elm Bark the next day. The Saffron
tea would be prepared by putting a pinch of the
American Saffron between the thumb and forefinger into a cup and pouring
boiling water over it. Let this set for twenty minutes, strain and drink
before retiring - every other evening.
8. The next day before retiring, put a pinch of
Powdered Elm Bark in a cup and fill with warm water, not boiling, and let
stand thirty minutes - put ice in it and drink it, - just a cupful.
9. Keep up the tonic throughout the period.
10. Do set up better eliminations. When the tonic
has been begun, as well as the other properties, do have a colonic irrigation
about every ten days. For until we have set up better circulation or created
the proper lymph circulation through the alimentary canal especially the
jejunum, we will
have these rashes.
11. For the eczema, we would apply Lenoir's Eczema
Remedy. This is a liquid. Use a cloth to dab this on the places. This we
find, will gradually dry up the eczema, as the conditions through the system
are improved.
12. Do these and we will find better conditions
for the body.
13. We are through with this reading.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time;
giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help
and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4000].
3. As we find, there is somewhat of a complication
of disturbances. These arise primarily from a subluxation existing in the
upper dorsal areas which in the beginning, or in times back slowed the
circulation through the abdominal areas.
4. Thus we have an impoverishment to the alimentary
canal, a thickening [thinning?] of the walls of same. This has allowed
the circulation to draw from, or through absorption to take from the alimentary
canal poisons that find expression in the sympathetic nerve reactions,
by the accumulation in the lymph circulation of great splotches - first
appearing as pimples and then red, scaly blotches that cause disfigurement,
aggravation to the body.
5. Unless there are measures taken for correction,
we find that these may bring about disturbances that may become quite aggravating
at times.
6. In making corrections we would first give that
the body have some eight to ten general osteopathic adjustments with particular
reference given to the upper dorsal area, or from the 5th and 6th dorsal
upward. We would also align or coordinate the adjustments made in this
area with the lumbar and sacral area.
7. We would be mindful of the diet. Keep away
from fats in the foods. Have a great deal of fruits and vegetables, and
some raw vegetables each day, such as watercress, celery, lettuce, carrots.
These may be prepared often in a combination salad or in gelatin, with
these ground, scraped or cut very fine. Vary the manners of preparation.
An oil dressing or any good mayonnaise may be used. Have such a salad rather
often, at least five to six times during a week.
8. Do use Yellow Saffron tea as helpful properties,
prepared in this manner: Put a pinch of Yellow Saffron, (American Saffron)
between the thumb and forefinger in a teacup and pour half full of boiling
water. Let this stand for thirty minutes, strain and drink. Take this twice
each day.
9. Once each day prepare slippery elm, or the
ground elm. Put a pinch of this in a glass of water and let stand long
enough for the water and the elm to become active together, forming, as
it were, an activity in same. This will be easier to take, and it will
be preferable, if there is a small
quantity of ice in same.
10. At least once each week do have a massage
over the abdomen; from the lower portion of the liver area to the caecum
area with an equal combination of Olive Oil (heated) and Tincture of Myrrh.
Massage this thoroughly into the whole abdominal area or the lower portion
of the jejunum and the colon area.
11. Keep good eliminations, using only vegetable
compounds as laxatives or eliminants.
12. Ready for questions.
13. We are through with this reading.

(Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find
the abnormal conditions as exist in this body have to do with the elimination,
especially, as that shown in the extremities, the body forcing or leaving
or there being left by the circulation those elements needed in the system
to make the perfect elimination throughout
the whole system. By the action of this condition where we find there are
the broken tissues or abrasions and that it becomes with its own secretions
intermingled with those of extra force to become that which is of a general
condition and expressed in individual portions of the body, as here on
the hand, you see. The reaction from this condition causes, with the weakened
forces in and about the pelvic organs, those that give an excess of the
forces in the system, hence becomes a part of a condition.
2. Now, these are the conditions as we find in
this body:
3. First, we find the blood deficient in its ability
to carry throughout the system, those poisons that should be eliminated
and that it, the blood, in loosing its effect over the extremities by the
deep hepatic circulation, and with the conditions as exist in the body,
it brings at times to the
capillaries those that should be eliminated through
the emunctory action as well as the respiratory functioning. Hence
this condition as exists there. Through the blood effect in its circulation
we find, with the condition of a strained nervous condition with a blood
supply deficient, the body - with its age and action of the circulation
through the portions of the pelvic organs that reach those cycles in course
- suffers from the condition and brings to the conscious force this condition
to its own consciousness, though being a physical condition as well.
4. The nervous forces in the body show the overtaxed
condition at times with not sufficient injection into the elemental forces
to give the proper incentives to the action of the brain forces in its,
the brain's, action over the nerve forces that produce the eliminating
functioning organs.
Through the action of the nerve forces as applied
to the physical or individual, we find the functioning of most of the organs
very good. The effect as produced in the system of leaving these conditions
in the capillaries shows the effect of the toxins being eliminated. The
functioning of the brain forces with the action of the cerebrospinal, which
carries or receives the impressions and are enacted upon by the forces,
produce in this system the condition that becomes necessary to remove from
those elemental forces.
5. To give the incentives to the system to carry
with the effect or to produce, the perfect elimination in this body - and
to make the coordinating elements between the eliminating forces
and the emunctory forces, or the emunctories and lymphatics together -
we would give those elements to act, first, with the circulation that would
create the carbonized or revitalized forces in the system to all portions
of the body. We would take this into the system in this manner:
6. To one-half gallon of water we would add:
Peruvian Bark.........1 ounce,
Dogwood Bark..........2 ounces,
Sarsaparilla Root.....1 ounce.
This would be steeped or simmered until reduced
to one-half pint. Strain and, while warm, add four ounces of cane sugar
dissolved in water first and then add two ounces of grain alcohol with
three drams of Balsam of Tolu. The dose would be a teaspoonful before each
meal.
7. For local conditions on the arms or hands we
would apply a lotion made of this:
8. Two ounces of Plantain root and stem in eight
ounces of water, reduced until the whole almost jellies, or is a very strong
solution. Strain and add sufficient butterfat to make the solution jell
or produce a salve formation (this, of course is without the salt and is
only the oil from this fat). The application would be made each evening
and cleansed of morning, you see.
9. After the medicinal properties are taken in
the system we will correct the condition in the pelvic organs, for the
action of the stimulants to the blood forces is to act with the organs
of the pelvis and to clarify the blood forces, with this solution as used
on the hands, see. Do that.
10. (Q) Mr. Cayce, what causes this trouble on
the hands?
(A) We have given this. Improper and imperfect
eliminations through the whole system.
11. (Q) Mr. Cayce, this body complains of the
back aching. What causes this?
(A) The condition as we have described here through
the pelvis and hepatic circulation and abrasions. Give all of these in
the system and we will remove this.
12. (Q) This body wants to know what causes her
eyesight to be bad.
(A) The imperfect eliminations.
13. (Q) When that is corrected will it help the
eyesight?
(A) Very foolish, very foolish.
14. (Q) Mr. Cayce, what is the scientific name
for this body's condition on the arms and hands?
(A) Cuticle psoriasis, a condition produced in
the system whereby the body, through its blood supply, attempts to eliminate
the toxins carried in the blood where they are not eliminated through their
proper functionings on account of this condition. Names do not mean anything
for the condition of this body.
15. We are through.

1. GC: you will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time.
You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing
conditions, also the treatments for the cure and relief of the body.
2. EC: Now we find this body is very good throughout,
yet there are some disturbances in the body that bring distress to the
body, and these conditions that produce this seem to change from time to
time, for the effect is the shift from one of the functioning portions
of the body to another as the disturbance produces its effect in the system
by the change in the cycle of the functioning of organs. The condition
has more to do with the eliminations in the body. Hence the system is disturbed
through the circulation, blood supply, the circulation lymphatic supply,
the circulation in nerve supply and the change in conditions is an effect
of the real condition to be met.
3. Now these are conditions as we find them in
this body, [3794] we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this changes from
time to time. We find there are times and conditions when the blood
seems overcharged with the drosses or sediments of the system. Again
the appearance is as of an overcharged white blood force, with a lack of
the red blood to rebuild, and the system apparently then becomes choked
or clogged in the capillary circulation, and the system seems to be unable
to eliminate, or to assimilate, any properties taken therein. Loss
of appetite, suppression of the functioning of the system, easy to take
cold. These are merely symptoms of condition under various times.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find the system very
good in most conditions, yet there are times when the whole body, apparently,
is at high tension when the centers that are affected by the blood conditions
show their reaction. These centers especially that show this condition
are the 2nd lumbar plexus, the 10th dorsal plexus, the 2nd dorsal plexus,
when the body feels the tired achy feeling through the portions of the
body that are controlled in its functioning by these plexus centers. In
the sympathetic system these become overcharged at times, and the whole
body seems to be unable to prevent the over heating of the body, the insomnia
that comes at times through these plexuses. All these conditions we find
come from a specific condition in the
body.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces
and centers very good.
7. Organs of the sensory system show the taxation
and strain under which the body labors, though no specific condition other
than the strain as produced and the attempt of the physical forces to meet
the needs of the functioning organ. These, as we see, produce full
centers about the distributing center to each functioning organs of sensory
system from the central plexus in cerebro-spinal and sympathetic connection
to same.
8. Throat and lungs, bronchials and larynx very
good, save at such times with the overtaxing of the blood supply in the
body brings and produces too much of the poisons as are not eliminated
properly through the lungs, when there is that depression as comes to the
body through this condition, and the easily susceptible condition of congestion
and cold bring rather mental distress than a physical condition.
9. Digestive tract not so good as it might be,
for the pneumogastric and hypogastric plexus both become involved in the
condition as is produced in the small intestinal tract, where we have the
seat of the trouble as is produced throughout the whole body, for there
we see, with the thinning of the wall of the intestinal tract, poisons
or toxins are absorbed in the system. Hence the condition in circulation,
the condition in the functioning of the organs in preventing the proper
assimilation, and the proper eliminations, and the emunctories become involved,
which overtaxes all hypogastric connections in the hepatic circulation.
Hence the taxing of the liver at times, the tendency for the body to suffer
from intestinal disturbances. The kidneys give too much of the functionings,
and the acid and the uric forces as is carried back into the system producing
these conditions. The taking into the system of properties to keep the
portion of the body functioning has assisted, yet only excited the functioning
organs and not reached that producing the troubles.
10. To give then the relief necessary to the body,
we would take these properties in the system and strengthen by osteopathic
manipulation those centers in the cerebro-spinal system that central conditions
in the body. That is, the lumbar plexus, the lower dorsal and upper dorsal
plexuses, stimulated by osteopathic treatments. Deep manipulation. Taking
at the same time these properties in the system:
Tincture of Valerian.................2 ounces,
Fluid Extract Stillingia...........1/2 ounce,
Elixia Calisaya......................3 ounces,
Iodide of Potassium.................20 grains,
Bromide of Potassium................15 grains,
Oil of Pepperment....................3 minims,
Sufficient simple syrup to make.....11 ounces.
11. The dose would be teaspoonful four times each
day, before meals and before retiring. Take the osteopathic treatments
at the same time as the medicinal properties are being taken. These
should be taken every other day. By the time all of the medicinal properties
have been taken there will have been sufficient of the osteopathic treatments
to have adjusted the system so that the normal functioning of the body
will have been set and corrected.
12. Do that. [3794]

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time;
giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help
and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. There are disturbing conditions which prevent
the better physical functioning in this body. These have to do primarily
with an intestinal disorder and the lack of proper coordination in the
eliminating systems. There are those conditions, then, in the duodenum
and through the jejunum where there are the effects as if there were tiny
thinned walls, as if the walls of the duodenum had been smoothed rather
than the folds that should exist with the gastric flow which should come
through these areas at periods of digestion. The results are a disturbance
in the blood supply and an irritation in the superficial circulation, so
that those areas in the epidermis show eliminations that should be carried
through alimentary canal, for these are being eliminated through perspiratory
system.
4. These are not true allergies, save the open
places that become so irritated, or have the lymph or the pus that forms
in same as to get into contact with dust or odors, or any of those things
that carry the elements that the body absorbs.
5. These are the sources, then, of these disorders.
6. These press irritatingly, of course, upon the
superficial circulation and the general nerve forces of the body. There
is a lack of the gastric flows in the body; that is, there is acid even
in the lachrymal ducts or the ducts in the mouth, so that the saliva becomes
acid. Not when the body is eating but when there is the viewing or smelling
of those things to eat, these cause those periods when the saliva becomes
sticky, it becomes offensive even to the body, making it spit at times
a great deal.
7. In the stomach and the duodenum, then, there
is a lacking in the manner in which there is the proper gastric flow of
the hydrochloric and the supply of the ducts that supply the gastrics which
should be alkalized. The body has taken some very strong medicines at times
back that have added to these conditions, causing such disturbances through
duodenum and the intestinal tract. This has also left in the colon a great
many of those places where the fecal forces are very
badly congested.
8. Then, in making for better conditions of this
body:
9. Within a week, but almost seven days apart,
have two good colonic irrigations. Begin there first, so that there is
no mucus. Two should be sufficient. Three may be better, dependent
upon how thoroughly these are given.
10. Then have these properties prepared for the
body:
11. In at least two or three glasses of the water
taken each day, a few minutes before it is taken, put a pinch of ground
elm bark in the glass of water and stir it. Let it begin to become active,
not wholly dissolved, and drink it. Don't drink it just dry and have it
in patches through the stomach, but prepare
it properly and drink at least three glasses of this elm water every day.
12. Also prepare Mullein Tea, which we would begin
after the elm water has been taken for about ten days. Use the green Mullein
if it can be obtained; otherwise use the dried Mullein. Crumble it, put
a teaspoonful in a glass or crock container and pour a pint of boiling
water over it. Allow this to stand for thirty minutes, strain, then cool
and drink; not necessarily all of it at one time, but in the course of
three to four hours after it has been prepared.
13. Then, after this has been taken for at least
two weeks, begin with osteopathic adjustments in the 4th lumbar, the upper
portion of the 9th and 8th dorsal, 3rd and 4th dorsal and from the 3rd
to the 1st cervical. Have at least ten of such treatments.
14. When the osteopathic treatments are begun,
start taking Kaldak - a level teaspoonful once each day; this preferably,
for this body, taken in V-8 juices. This should be dissolved in a little
hot water first and then a small tumbler filled with the V-8 juice.
15. Do that.
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) Are there any suggestions as to diet?
(A) Normal diet, but stress seafoods and fowl.
Little of beef or other meats. Use at least three vegetables that grow
above the ground to one that grows under the ground, and we will find better
conditions for this body.
18. We are through with this reading.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time;
giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help
and relief for this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3112].
3. As we find, there are disturbances that become
quite aggravating to this body. These are rather complicated, arising from
nerves; that is, deterioration of the connections between sympathetic and
cerebrospinal nervous systems causes at times this itching, this irritating
condition which arises on portions of the body, and especially at those
centers where there are the emunctory patches - as under the arm, where
there are the mammary ducts and the connections with same; in the groin
or crotch, where this same form of irritation is radiated to the various
parts of the body, causing great reactions at times.
4. These come from a combination of sources. For,
in some time back, the effects of intestinal "flu" have thinned the walls
of the jejunum, and the activities there cause an irritation that affects
the perspiratory glands - or those between the outer and the inner layers
of skin. At times these come not only from excitement to the body but from
any overexertion, or from cold or heat. Any of these will cause this same
reaction.
5. This, then, sets up the attempt of the body
to create the balanced circulation, so that the irritation becomes the
greater in the emunctory patches especially.
6. We find that this is not a form of condition
which at times comes from the blood, but - as indicated - it does have
to do with the lymph flow AND the nerve activity.
7. Thus, we find that those administrations for
help here will require radial activity, or radiation to the body, as well
as internal activities that may aid in producing a better coordination
between sympathetic and cerebrospinal activities, especially in the centers
where the emunctory glands or patches are the more active.
8. Hence, we would begin taking internally once
each day, preferably just before retiring, a cup of Saffron Tea. Put a
pinch of the American Saffron in a cup of boiling water, or put it in the
cup and pour boiling water over it and allow to stand for thirty minutes
(covered during that period, of course). Then
strain, cool, and drink. Use a good pinch of the Saffron, you see, between
the thumb and the forefinger, to the cup of boiling water. Make this fresh
each time. The activity of this upon the gastric flow of the stomach and
duodenum and through the alimentary canal will tend to allay, and to work
with the activities that supply the mucous membrane flow along the canal
itself, thus aiding the body.
9. Also we would have the very low electrical
treatments with the strong Wet Cell Appliance, used in the same order as
the Radio-Active Appliance; that is, the Wet Cell - not the Dry Cell, for
this should be the static electrical force - should be attached in the
same manner as the Radio-Active is ordinarily used. But make the double
strength charge, and have both plates of nickel; one would be attached
to the wrist, the other to the opposite ankle, and so on. Make the attachment
daily for twenty minutes; preferably in the evening, just after or just
before taking the Saffron Tea.
10. Each evening when the Appliance is disconnected
(and be sure to clean or polish the attachment plates each time before
and after using), - massage the body with a combination of four ounces
of Peanut Oil and one ounce of Olive Oil; especially in the cerebrospinal
centers and across the sacral, the end of the spine, the feet, and then
up the limbs, including the crotch and the area where the disturbances
arise. Massage what the body will absorb of these oils, each time.
11. In the diet, - keep away from starches, sweets,
and carbonated drinks of ANY character, or any of the drinks made from
hops or of such natures.
12. Then keep the regular diet, but increase the
amount of sea foods. Keep away from too much fats.
13. Do these, and we should find much better conditions
for this body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What causes the cough, and what will
relieve it?
(A) The massage, and the ability of setting up
better eliminations, should reduce those tendencies for the irritation
to the mucous membranes of the lung forces, or to the trachea and bronchi.
The massages should relieve the body.
16. (Q) The bad color of skin for several days
at a time?
(A) The poor circulation, as indicated.
Follow those things suggested.
17. We are through with this Reading.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of
this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective
measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have had this body before.
3. As we find, conditions have not developed as
satisfactorily as they should with this body. There have been periods when
the body has improved and then, with not the proper precautions as to diet
or activities, the body has the troubles with the headaches, the conditions
that have arisen through the system apparently return.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) What is causing the pimples on my face
to become worse and what can possibly be done to clear this up entirely?
(A) Lack of proper eliminations. Have prepared
these properties to be taken internally:
Sulphur...............1 tablespoonful,
Cream of Tartar.......1 tablespoonful,
Rochelle Salts........1 tablespoonful.
Mix these thoroughly together,
as with mortar and pestle, so that each mineral content of the properties
becomes combined. Then each morning before breakfast take a level
teaspoonful
of the mixture, either dry or in water. Take
this for five days in succession, then leave off for a week and take again,
and so on until the whole quantity has been taken - and even a second quantity
may be prepared and taken. This as we find should be sufficient, if the
massages or the osteopathic corrections are given properly. These given
as stimulations and not towards the relaxing or eliminating are more of
a disadvantage than an advantage to the body. Have these given properly.
Throughout the period that the Sulphur mixture is being taken, be careful
that the body does not get damp or the feet wet, or get caught in the rain,
or the like, for this would be very harmful.
Do not go in bathing while these properties are working through the system.
Not that the body shouldn't take a bath, but do not get damp or wet or
let the body remain damp.
6. (Q) What caused me to have such terrible pains
in my head while taking treatments from the osteopath?
(A) Because of the nature of the treatment! These
should be relaxing, NOT stimulating! They are to set up drainages, not
to increase the congestions! Until there are better eliminations the body
will still have disturbance. For the areas where there are the disturbances
from superfluous hair, we would use an ointment that may be prepared in
this manner:
Cocoa Butter..............3 drams,
Calomel...................2 grains,
Epsom Salts..............20 grains.
Mix these thoroughly, as with
mortar and pestle. Massage this mixture gently in the areas and after leaving
on for fifteen to twenty minutes, rub off. This used as an ointment will
remove hair without injury to the body. To be sure, calomel has mercury
in it, and this is a poison, but with this
combination and in this quantity there is not sufficient for a body to
absorb enough to become detrimental to the body-forces.
After this is used, as the
base for a better skin condition use the Genuine Black and White Cream.
Do not shave off, do not attempt to bleach or dye, but use this mixture
in the manner indicated.
7. (Q) Were any corrections necessary to be made
by the osteopath?
(A) Not corrections - the relaxing treatments
should be given, not trying to make adjustments.
8. We are through with this Reading.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of
this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective
measures, answering the questions as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, here we find conditions changed somewhat
from those as we have had before here. While the entity in many ways has
followed those suggestions indicated and has not gotten
results, most of the disturbances are from the
lack of the proper administrations of those manipulations suggested for
the body. At periods these have been administered fairly well,
but soon the one administering same has turned to his own way - which has
brought upsetting conditions, and the more this upsetting, the more aggravated
has become the body, [3081].
3. Unless there is the change to all of those
suggestions that have been indicated, and the changing to the administration
in the way and manner given, we won't get much results.
4. But there are those from whom the body may
obtain those very corrections needed. Then, we would give, do all those
suggestions over again as given - and we will find help.
5. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Has the compound been properly prepared
and is it being taken correctly?
(A) The compound has been very well prepared.
These properties have been taken correctly at times, and then the body
has neglected it at times. We would do those things thoroughly as
indicated. Change the one making the administrations.
7. (Q) I have been unable for the past month to
get any more raw milk to be taken with Acigest. Could you suggest a substitute
that I could take that would benefit me as much as the raw milk and Acigest?
(A) You can get raw milk now if you will make
the attempt. It is not too far away, either! Get it where they milk
the cow here - see, they are only a short distance away!
8. (Q) What is still causing my face and neck
to break out in pimples and what can be done to cure this completely?
(A) These will disappear if the corrections are
made properly and the eliminations are kept well. We would use the Black
and white cleansing creams.
9. (Q) What is causing superfluous hair to grow
on my face and what can I do to remove the hair permanently?
(A) This is just a part of the body's own consciousness
that it is meeting, or karmic conditions. But if those things are used
properly as indicated, this should disappear.
10. We are through with this reading.

3. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) My face and neck are still breaking out
in pimples. What can be done to clear this up entirely?
(A) There should be more consistency in following
those suggestions indicated. For, the osteopathic manipulations to be made
were to set up drainages not to stimulate circulation. Also
we would take internally to set up better drainages a compound prepared
in this manner:
Sulphur.....................1 level tablespoonful,
Rochelle Salts..............1 level tablespoonful,
Cream of Tartar.............1 level tablespoonful.
Mix these thoroughly together;
this means with mortar and pestle. Take a half a teaspoonful of this
mixture in a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken. Keep
this up until the whole quantity has been used. Keep up the rest
of those suggestions indicated. The adjustments may be made. But
do not give stimulating treatments; give light relaxing treatments - and
it will be better for the body.
5. (Q) Is milk good for me?
(A) As the body doesn't like milk, drink those
compounds - or malted milk would be better for the body.
6. (Q) What is causing my eyes to hurt and smart
at times?
(A) If the stimulations are left off and the
relaxations are given, we will have less trouble with these, this comes
from conditions resulting from pressure of irritation from the kidney areas.
7. (Q) What causes me to belch so much at times
and have gas in stomach?
(A) These will be eliminated when the eliminations
are set up.
8. (Q) My hair is getting very thin and beginning
to turn gray. What can be done to correct this?

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine
it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time;
giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help
and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3081].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions
and these are producing tendencies that may be corrected in the present;
though allowed to remain they may build such disturbances later as to become
much harder to deal with.
4. These, we find, are primarily the effects of
inflammation.
5. Then, these are conditions as we find them
with this body, [3081] we are speaking of:
6. In some times back there were the effects of
flu, or influenza, that settled in the activity of alimentary canal. These
have produced weaknesses, and the lack of proper assimilation or digestion.
7. This has reduced the elements that produce
a balance between the circulations through the alimentary canal.
8. Hence there is caused a thinning of the walls
of the jejunum. And this inflammation causes the tendency for the
secretions that, not being eliminated through the regular channels, produce
a rash that at times becomes very aggravating.
9. This causes a nervous disturbance, and has
brought about - in the organs of the pelvis - a form of leukorrhea that
becomes very aggravating at times.
10. These, as we find, are the sources of the
inflammation.
11. The conditions in the nerve system cause
irritation in ganglia along the cerebrospinal system. This is particularly
indicated in the 5th and 6th dorsal, in the 3rd the 4th dorsal, and in
the 3rd and 4th cervical.
12. With these general disturbances, at times
we find things that ordinarily agree with the body - or that once agreed
with the body, disagrees at times in the present; such as certain fruits,
as well as cakes or pastries, as well as certain combinations of starches.
All of these are rather of a
general nature, but are producing specific disorders
that are being indicated.
13. As we find, these we would do - and we will
find relief, if these are used consistently; not too often, but at periods
when there are the upsettings:
14. First, we would give that there be at least
six to eight GENERAL relaxing treatments osteopathically.
15. When there have been at least three or four
of the relaxing treatments osteopathically, have a very mild Fume Bath;
using Witchhazel in the Fumes, to relieve the tensions in the body.
This should be given along with the thorough hydrotherapy
treatment, see? that is, the Fume Bath, the hot and cold showers, and a
thorough rubdown. We would do this occasionally, beginning when there have
been the first few osteopathic treatments.
16. Begin taking daily, almost - or about five
times between Sunday and Sunday, or the like - the Yellow Saffron Tea.
Put about a pinch of the American Saffron, between thumb and forefinger,
in a cup and fill with boiling water. Let this steep for about twenty minutes,
and then cool, strain and the like. This would be the manner of preparation.
Make it fresh each time, you see.
17. Occasionally - about once a week, except during
the Periods, of course - but once a week before and after the Periods -
we would use a douche with Glyco-Thymoline in the water. Have
the water body temperature, and use about a tablespoonful
of the Glyco-Thymoline to the quart of water injected. Use only the Fountain
Syringe for such douches. These will relax, and keep the irritations from
disturbing the body so much.
18. On parts of the body where there are the irritations,
apply the D.D.D. Prescription, preferably the Cream. Use this sparingly,
but when necessary.
19. At least three times each week we would take
a teaspoonful of ACIGEST stirred in a glass of raw milk, preferably of
evening.
20. Also on the same days the Acigest is taken,
we would thinly spread a whole wheat cracker with CALCIOS and eat.
21. Use the Black and White Creams for face, for
hands, for body. These will keep the irritations from making the
openings, or large pores.
22. In the diet, - beware of bananas or raw apples.
Cooked apples may be taken, and other fruit cooked is preferable to being
taken raw.
23. Beware also of small fruits, such as berries.
24. Do take fish and fowl mostly as the meat,
if meat is taken at all.
25. Vegetables, and vegetable soups are very good
for the body. Water cress especially, as in a salad, with celery,
lettuce and tomatoes, may be taken together and would be well.
26. Of course, these are not all the foods to
be taken, but take these at times.
27. Beware of white bread, or spaghetti or macaroni,
or the like. Take these rather sparingly, also partake of sweets sparingly.
But chocolate may be taken at times.
28. The only soft drink to be taken would be Coca-Cola.
This is helpful in the condition through the kidneys, and in the circulation
between liver and kidneys.
29. These do, and we will find better conditions
for this body, [3081].
30. Ready for questions.
31. (Q) If I marry will my health be affected
and how?
(A) That might depend most upon who the body
marries, or those relationships, and the character of relationships as
might be established in same. The normal reactions may be expected, but
not a harmful effect to the health of the body.
32. We are through with this reading.
