The electronic library contains thousands of pages of health information from the classic texts of the 19th and early 20th century medical literature, in addition to recent publications.

Manual therapy is the use of the hands to diagnose and treat illness and maintain health.  This collection consists of over 3,000 pages of text from books and articles that document the early years of manual therapy in America.  Some of the classics included in the EAMT collection are: 

• Osteopathy Complete (1898),
• Principles of Osteopathy (1916),
• A Manual of Osteopathy (1909).

The Cayce Herbal is a comprehensive guide to the botanical medicine of Edgar Cayce.  Over a period of 40 years, Mr.Cayce prescribed over 100 herbs for a wide variety of conditions.  This work provides direct documentation of the herbal formulas with excerpts from the Cayce readings.  Classic texts from the herbal literature are included to give a context for Cayce's recommendations.

The CCSI is a structured assessment instrument intended for use as an adjunct to traditional and alternative assessment procedures.  The CCSI consists of a wide variety of signs and symptoms of physical and emotional distress.  The items are arranged in scales, each scale representing a pattern of etiology (cause and effect) used by Edgar Cayce in his system of assessment and diagnosis.

This small collection documents some energy medicine modalities in use during the early 20th century.  Included in this collection are:

The audio archive contains several brief excerpts from presentations given by Meridian Institute members on various topics, including manual therapy, mind-body healing, the Cayce diet, and the Cayce Comprehensive Symptom Inventory (CCSI). 

Edgar Cayce provided a vast body of information on all aspects of mental health, including the treatment of mental and emotional conditions.  Visit this area of the Electronic Library to sample chapters from books on depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and dementia.
